First of all the there is an obvious difference between MLM network marketing and a pyramid … The common process in a pyramid scheme is that you usually have to part with a significant amount of you hard earned money in exchange for literally nothing…. You get no visible services or goods. A pyramid scheme is a way to transfer funds from one person to another…. And if there is no product, it is not a legal mlm marketing plan....
But in multilevel marketing or mlm marketing plan, you are given the opportunity to involve yourself in a network marketing system of business that is legal. There are actual products or services distributed among MLM members and networks composed of various clients and buyers... Bottom line is... Pyramids are illegal. The main reasons they may be illegal is their failure to move a product or to provide a valid service. If a product doesn't move, how can you even call it "marketing", let alone "Multi level Marketing". Multi level it may be, but Marketing they are not!!!
